    • Dates: 5/17/2013 to 5/24/2013
Description: Our hearts are heavy for the loss of life with the tornadoes in Texas and OK. The North Texas Disaster Response has been working in Cleburne for a few days and have spent time in Granbury working the Joint Assistance Center. We are standing down in Cleburne and the greatest need in Granbury is finances. The damage was quite extensive but it was contained in a relatively small area. I have been working with Pastor Tim from 1st A/G and he feels the greatest need is finances to assist the many families who have no insurance or place to go. We are in desperate need for gift cards, hotel vouchers, gas cards to assist these families.

As far as the Moore, OK, disaster, I have been working via conference call with Convoy of Hope and the OK VOAD. Right now we are in a holding pattern and the officials have requested we stay away unless we are asked to come. We plan to partner with Convoy of Hope to assist them in their efforts so once the call is made for assistance to come; we will send out an email with specific information. Thank you for your support and prayers. Please keep the victims in prayer.

A huge thank you goes out to so many who responded to the West disaster. The response has been overwhelming and Christ was revealed to those who hurt so. As of now, we will not be scheduling teams; the EM said the damage warrants contractors to come in in the place of volunteers. I have been in constant contact with the Pastor Graves of 1st A/G and indicated we would be available if and when the need arose. May God bless you for your compassionate response.
